After a good nights sleep we spent the day walking around Paris. Firstly up to the massive 5 storey Fabric shop next to Sacre-Coeur for a(nother) supply of fabric. Have to admit that Davina was very restrained in the time taken to browse and the quantity bought – only two 0,5mx1.5m pieces. After Sacre-Coeur we wandered the back streets of Montmatre before winding our way down hill to the metro and then heading off to Notre Dame. We spent a lovely hour sitting looking at the Cathedral with D sketching and me wondering in amazement at all the people rushing in posing (in ridiculous positions and facial expressions) for dozens of selfies and then rushing off without so much as a look at the building, inside or outside. It was a good lesson in the priorities of the modern world. This was followed by a long walk across to the Eifel Tower just as the sun was setting.
