We are now embarking on the start of our motorhome adventure. After a number of hiccups and information advising delays to the delivery date for the van we got notification last night that the van is ready and registered. We left Paris on the Eurostar at 9:00 am en-route to St Pancras Stn in London then travelled by Underground /train to Cranham Motorhomes in Upminster to
collect our brand new Auto-Trail Tracker FB motorhome. Will have to think of a suitable name for it, suggestions welcome. A late change to the gas bottle system meant a two hour delay while they fitted alternative that are better suited to use in Europe. This was followed by a hectic rush to get diesel, gas (unsuccessful on this one) and settled on take-aways as we have no food, crockery or cutlery. Luckily the bedding had arrived two dyas earlier so we slept warm and comfy but will sort that later. Made a very late booking for a caravan park around 40 miles away and it was a challenging exercise driving a large new vehicle on congested and often narrow roads.
We made it to Barley Lands Camp site that turned out to be a large paddock next to the stables. Stayed here for two nights as took longer than expected to make all the purchases we needed, still a few items to find.

Looks amazing!!!! We have 2 name ideas…. Karen the campervan or Merv the motorhome… ? your welcome! Have fun traveling ?
Mom thinks “Alfie” as the rego is AFE
or “Alfie the adventure home”
I quite enjoy Merv the motorhome. But alfie is good too, it just sounds a bit like a dog!
Alfie is lovely. So jealous!
